TOC 2013 Start-up Showcase semi-finalists announced

Online voting is now open and ends soon

This year we’re having the publishing community help us determine the 10 finalists who will come to TOC in New York to show off their product/service. Starting today, an online voting site will be open to the public. Voters will have until Friday, January 11th to cast their vote and help us choose the 10 finalists who will be invited to NYC.

The TOC Startup Showcase gives groundbreaking startups a chance to show their stuff to the world. Highlighting the startup ecosystem’s creativity and variety, the Showcase will give young companies in the publishing space a chance to get their company in front of a global community of leaders in the publishing and technology industries, as well as potential investors.

Help us rate each semi-finalist by Friday, January 11

Below are the 20 semi-finalist startups chosen by our judges from the more than 40 submissions we received during the open call. Now it’s your turn to help us narrow it down to the final ten. For each of the startup companies listed below, please rate them on how likely they are to succeed in the marketplace using the 5-star scale.

How the ratings are tallied

The average public scores’ and judges’ scores will be tallied to determine the top ten companies who will come to New York to demo their product/service in the Startup Showcase on February 13 during TOC. Three winners will be selected to demo and discuss their product/service with judges Otis Chandler and Mark Jacobson during the plenary session on Thursday, February 14.

Congratulations and best luck to our semi-finalists – and let the voting begin!
