Newsweek will aggregate its coverage of John McCain, Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and Joe Biden into four Kindle-only biographies. From Amazon's Kindle Blog:
The book-length biographies contain archived reporting and commentary from Newsweek's coverage of the candidates from the magazine's award-winning political correspondents. Each biography takes readers through the lives of the candidates, from their personal beginnings to their political breakthroughs.
The $9.99 books will be available for download tomorrow. Amazon previously released Kindle biographies of both prospective first ladies.

We don't have Newsweek's muscle, but our little independent publishing company (known for our bestselling book about the Kindle) has had an interesting experience with a quick-to-market book about Palin.
Thanks But No Thanks: The Voter's Guide to Sarah Palin is an intellectually honest but critical assessment and is now the #1 political campaign book in the Kindle store (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/digital-text/157481011) and the newly minted paperback is selling briskly and has been picked up by Baker & Taylor and may be picked up this week by Barnes & Noble. We think that it will have a longer shelf life than many election books, because we expect Palin to be a key player with the Republican base for 2012.

@Stephen: If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to know how long it took you to produce the Palin book (writing through stocking).
